Lily, a young show girl
 |
April 12, 1998 – August 26, 2004
Bred by Dan Campeau and George Monteverdi
Owned, kept and loved by Nancy Sturgis
Sired: CH W-Dav-K’s Born in the USA ‘Boss’
Dam: Suddanly Adelweiss ‘Bella’
Lily lost her battle
with Osteosarcoma. Since December, she lived 3 legged and enjoyed 8 more
months than expected. She had a beautiful spring and summer and was
valiant. She was a participator. She was quick to smile at the smallest
things; the smell of Puget Sound, physical comedy, the suggestion of any
cookie, ride, trip to the park or ‘pets’. She was the ideal Swissy to me.
She was a quick Champion, beautiful, sound and a loving mother. I couldn’t
have loved her more. She was my best friend. She passed on some of her
good qualities to her kids and I’m grateful. Her daughter, Nominee, is
acting just like her. I miss her greatly and am looking for her influence in
her kids, knowing I was very, very lucky to have known her. Rest in
Peace, Lily. I’ll see you again.

Sept. 17, 1992 - July 31, 2004
Owned
by Todd Iscovitz and bred by Dan Campeau and Dori Hoffman.
Sire: Ch. Sennehof's Mark 'Bull',
Dam:
Saalbach's Ashenda V Pilch 'Chloe'.
Boone was the happiest, healthiest Swissy I ever met. Todd
and Boone spent nearly 12 years as best friends, enjoying life, traveling
and going to the park nearly every day of Boone's life. Todd was committed
to Boone's happiness, above all else...and Boone was very happy. Boone came
from a litter of 11 and he outlived them all, with no health problem
greater than a hygroma on his elbow at age 2. Boone's litter brother,
Patrick, was the #1 dog in the country in his prime and produced 5 of the
first 7 Best of Breed Westminster winners. Boone only survived Patrick by a
few months, both living to be 'righteous old'. Both brothers gave health,
type and excellent temperaments to each of the puppies that they
sired. Boone's kids are achieving some of their successes because of his
contribution, and they are happy.
There is so much to tell about Boone, he was so worth knowing. He will live
on in our memories and his beautiful qualities will be present in the
generations that follow him. We will see his smile or hear his 'barrooo'
again from one of his kids and recognize him. One of his kids, yet to be,
will make the same pawprints on our lives. I hope that day is soon. Boone,
you will be greatly missed.
Thank you, Todd, for letting me share in Boone's successes in the show ring
and as a Stud Dog. It was a very great honor. He was the
best.
Respectfully submitted for Todd Iscovitz by Nancy Sturgis.
